Manufacturing Associates

We are currently seeking Manufacturing Associates for the cGMP manufacture of clinical grade vaccines. 

 

Primary responsibilities - all aspects of GMP manufacture of clinical grade vaccines, including:

 

        Mammalian cell culture, purification, aseptic filling, reagent preparation.

        Required to work in and maintain clean room environment.

        Draft SOPs, deviations, investigations.

        Maintain GMP compliance through accurate record keeping and precise adherence to SOPs and batch records.

 

The successful candidates will have a minimum of an Associate�s degree and 1-5 years of related experience.  A Bachelor�s degree is preferred.

Quality Control Chemistry Analyst

We are seeking a Quality Control Chemistry Analyst to support the Quality Control Chemistry Laboratory with various laboratory functions: product testing, trend analysis, database management, documentation functions and overall laboratory compliance skills.  Responsibilities include in-process and final drug product testing using cell culture, genomic analysis, western blot, ELISA, and protein determination.  Other responsibilities include maintaining laboratory compliance through training, documentation and equipment operation/maintenance. In addition, there will be some equipment and method validation responsibilities as needed.   

 

A successful candidate will have a B.S./B.A. degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent with a minimum 5-8 years related experience.  Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices as well as FDA/EU regulations specific to product and laboratory controls.  Proficient in computer applications, strong organizational skills and the ability to work cross-functionally will be essential.

Market/Business Development Intern

Therion has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Market/Business Development team as a summer intern.  This position will work on a variety of projects which may include Product Strategy/Market Development, Long-Range Strategic Planning, Technology Licensing and Market Research.

 

Prospective candidates will be in the process of completing the first year of their MBA program.  A technical undergraduate degree is preferred.  Two plus years of experience in the life science area (pharmaceutical/biotechnology).  In addition candidates must demonstrate the following skills: 

  • Good working knowledge of market research methodologies.
  • Experience of applying a range of forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent PC skills essential � to include extensive experience with spreadsheets and presentations utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills � ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people across different functions.
  • Flexible, able to work on own initiative in a non-structured environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Process Development Associate

Member of a process development team responsible for upgrading the manufacturing process to improve efficiency and GMP compliance for Phase III clinical trials and commercial scale manufacturing.  Implement new designs, methods or process modifications to improve purity, sterility, yields and formulation of recombinant poxvirus vaccines for AIDS and Cancer.  Utilize cell lines and primary cultures, Protein Purification, Protein Characterization and Assay Development technologies. 

Position requires a BS in Microbiology, Bioprocessing, Biochemical engineering or related discipline and 3+ years experience in process/product development in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical environment.  Knowledge of and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices, industrial safety regulations and practices.  Knowledge of cell culture and large scale protein/ virus purification is essential for this position.  Excellent interpersonal, communications and computer skills.  Established ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrated ability to identify and resolve project issues.

Process Development Scientist

Position requires a Ph.D. in Microbiology or related discipline and 7+ years experience in process/product development in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical environment.  Knowledgeable in translating bench/small scale manufacturing into large scale, GMP production.  Experience with stir tank technology is a plus Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communications and computer skills.  Established ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and demonstrated ability to identify and resolve project issues.
