Insurance Programs
Health Insurance
Therion offers you and your family, domestic partners included, the option to be covered under our healthcare plans offered by Blue Cross Blue Shield.
We offer an option to choose either an HMO or PPO plan.
Dental Insurance
We provide comprehensive dental coverage for you and your family or domestic partner through Delta Dental Premier Plan PPO. Coverage is 100% for preventative, 80% for basic and 50% for major services.
Vision Insurance
We provide vision insurance through VSP
(Vision Services Plan). This plan allows for an eye exam
every 12 months and contact lenses or glass lenses every
12 months and frames every 24 months.
Life Insurance/ AD&D;
Therion offers company-paid Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance equal to two (2) times your annual base salary up to a maximum of $400,000.
Long-Term Disability Insurance
Therion's disability plan is designed to replace a portion of your income should you become disabled. We offer insurance through Prudential which replaces 60% of your earnings, up to a $12,000 per month maximum. You have the option to choose either Company-paid or employee-paid premiums.
Time-Off Benefits
Short-Term Disability
Short-term disability coverage is an income replacement benefit. If you are unable to work due to a non-work related illness/injury, you will receive benefits up to the equivalent of twelve (12) weeks.
Benefit is equal to 100% of your base salary for up to twelve (12) weeks.
Vacation
Full-time employees accrue vacation as follows:
Hire to 5-year anniversary -- three (3) weeks per year (120 hours, 10 hours per month)
5+ years -- four (4) weeks per year (160 hours, 13.33 hours per month)
Part-time employees accrue vacation on a pro-rated basis.
Personal Time
All employees may take up to three (3) paid personal days (pro-rated for new hires and part-time employees) per calendar year.
Sick Time
All employees will be eligible for sick time. A guideline for a reasonable number of sick days is up to seven (7) days per calendar year.
Holidays
Employees are eligible for eleven (11) company paid holidays (pro-rated if part-time) per calendar year.
Parenting Leave
Employees are eligible for one week of paid leave for the adoption of a child and to a father for the birth of a child.
Additional Benefits
Educational Assistance
To support our commitment to the personal and professional growth of our employees, we provide assistance for graduate, undergraduate, adult education, and advanced certification courses related to one's work.
Benefit covers up to $5,000 maximum per calendar year.
Reimbursement is made at 100% for Grade B or better and Pass, and 50% for grade C, with 50% of reimbursement paid at course enrollment and 50% paid at completion.
401(k) Plan
Therion offers a 401(k) plan through ING. Employees are eligible to enroll immediately upon hire.
Employees may contribute from 1-100% of their pre-tax salary up to the annual federal maximum.
The Therion match is twenty-five (25) cents on the dollar on the first 6% saved, with a one-year vesting plan.
Employee Assistance Program
An employee assistance program (EAP) is provided to all employees through Guidance Resources.
The EAP can provide employees with information on a wide rang of topics/issues, including legal and financial issues, older adult and parenting resources, personal and work-related problems, and all the little things that demand your attention every day.
Parking/MBTA Passes
To assist employees with transportation costs, Therion will pay 100% of the cost of parking at a lot approved by the company, or will pay up to $100 per month towards a T pass for travel on public transportation.
Health Club Benefit
Therion will provide reimbursement for fitness-related expenses in the amount of 50% up to $150 per year.
If an employee is participating in Therion's health insurance program, Blue Cross Blue Shield will reimburse an additional $150 per year toward a qualifying health club membership.
Therion has an agreement with Cambridge
Racquet and Fitness and Gold's Gym-Somerville through which
there is a reduced enrollment fee and a discounted monthly
rate.
Flexible Spending Accounts
The Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) allow employees to pay for eligible expenses with tax-free dollars.
An employee may place up to $2,500 per year in a pre-tax account for health care reimbursement, and up to $5,000 per year for dependent care reimbursement.
Discount Programs
Therion offers its employees discount movie tickets and BJ's memberships, as well as, participates in discount programs including Working Advantage, Mass Buying Power and Cambridgeside Galleria's "Office Breaks" program.
Employee Referral Program
All employees who refer a full-time employee will receive $1,500 after the referred employee completes 90 days of employment.
